Covid-19 Level-3 FAQ
We have outlined some of the Covid-19 safety precautions we are taking during Level-3 to ensure your safety. We will continue to refresh our practices daily.
is it safe to order from mandala during level 3?
The safety of our customers and staff is just as important to us as the food we serve. We have introduced a huge variety of safety precautions to ensure we deliver you the most safest experience. We have implemented a Worksafe NZ covid-19 safety plan to protect everyone in all aspects of the business and we will be open about the plans laid out.
How have mandala made collections safe?
We encourage all customers to order online therefore eliminating the payment interaction with staff. If you are required to pay on arrival we have rented a new portable eftpos machine which will be located in the pick-up area at the front of the building. Unfortunately this does not accept paywave as Totalpos solutions had already run out of machines due to increased number of rentals during Level 3. We will have multiple QR codes to sign in and will have 2 meter marks chalked on the ground outside to ensure social distancing is adhered too. We encourage people to wear masks when interacting with staff members and staff members will also be required to wear masks.
How have mandala made delivery’s safe?
Delivery’s will only be available to people who have ordered online, this is to remove the payment interaction from taking place at your home. Your food will be left at your front door and our driver will knock and immediately return to their car. We will wait in the car to ensure you have opened the door and heard our knock before we leave. If you do not hear our knock we will give you a quick phone call to notify you.
How are mandala staff ensuring satefy between themselves in the restaurant?
All staff have agreed to a daily health questionnaire which they must go over BEFORE making their way to work each day. If anyone shows symptoms they will be not be allowed to return to work until healthy and have passed a Covid-19 test if Healthline deems necessary. When a staff member comes into work they are required to sign a document declaring they are safe to work and this record will be saved for later review if requested.
Luckily we have a small team made up of just 4 bubbles. We will only have 2 bubbles at a time working within the restaurant and one person delivering food. Our kitchen will not mix with front of house staff where possible. We have even separated our toilets between the Kitchen and Front of House. Mandala will ensure all staff wear masks where appropriate, ensure hand washing is often.
