Best food in Akaroa! We have been 3 times in the last month & loved it every time. I have tried the Butter Chicken, Pumpkin Curry, Beef Massamam Curry & the Beef Cheek - all flawless! Highly recommend to anyone visiting/living in Akaroa. We will continue to come back for more!

What an incredible experience! We are both vegan and had the pleasure of being served by Angie and another lady (didn’t catch her name) who helped us with the options. One of the most amazing meals we’ve ever had! Delicious and flavoursome. Highly recommend to anyone coming through Akaroa, with a serene environment. Thank you again! We will definitely be back!

My wife and love this place! The food was so good that we the second night we cancelled our booking at another restaurant and came back! The chef is inspired and the staff is great! If you like a bit of spice the goat curry is amazing, and when we mixed it with the pumpkin curry it was fantastic! Also, they are very gluten free friendly.

We were in Akaroa for six days and ate here four times—it would have been five, but they were closed one evening. Everything we had was quite good, but the lamb shank, duck curry, and goat curry really stood out to me. And for dessert, the "Passion for Cardamom" was top-notch. If I'm ever in town again, I'll be going to Mandala for sure.

Phenomenal restaurant. The flavors on menu were unique yet familiar. Great Indian dishes with a southeast Asian flair, and a really nice drink menu to pair. I had the goat curry and was not disappointed. Spice level was perfect for someone who likes a spicy dish, but didn’t compromise flavor for heat.

Delicious indian fusion food prepared with love and passion. Cozy atmosphere inside and a beautiful outdoor courtyard. Really glad we got to stop here on our visit to Akaroa!

The food is fijian indian and it was astounding. The flavours are to die for. I had the fish curry which came with lychees, mandarins, potatoes and a fiery coconut sauce, it was delicious. The cocktails were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.The building is charming and we sat outside in an olive grove. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, it is out of the ordinary.
